Intercession is intervening on another's behalf by interposing oneself between two parties and their difficulties or crises usually by prayer but also by means of aid, arbitration, or mediation.

It is also called standing in the gap, pleading with God on behalf of someone else needs or situation. Intercession is Warfare.
Prayer is communing with God, spending time in His Presence, reading His Word, and meditating on it. Prayer is a two way conservation.
We must listen as well as talk with Him.
God is calling us to a greater level of intimacy with Him in prayer and Intercession. He wants to release His mysteries to His people. He wants to release His power in us. It's time to rise up and take our position in Prayer and Intercession!.

Why Pray?
“Until we understand the purpose of prayer, We don’t make prayer a priority. Thus, we rob ourselves of a Kingdom partnership that causes His will to be done on Earth”
Becoming A prayer Warrior By Elizabeth Alves
Prayer is the responsibility of every Christian. God’s word tells us to pray. Prayer is entering into a relationship with God so we can determine His will in the matter and call His will into existence upon the earth. Therefore , I exhort you first of all that supplications, prayers , intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and reverence. (1 Timothy 2:1-2 NIV) Much of the discontent and worry we as believers suffer is the result of disobedience of God’s word which exhorts us to pray. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. (Ephesians 6:18 NKJV) Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing but the flesh is weak. (Matthew 26:21 NKJV)
Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 NKJV
